Hello all,

I have an '89 944 Turbo which I've had for around a week now. I've done the usual maintenance on it since buying, cambelt, balance belt, oil change with filter and I'm awaiting a new air filter. The oil pressure gauge seems quite intermittent although the sender looks as if it's been replaced at some point. When I turn the ignition on the gauge jumps to around 2.5 then when I start the engine it goes straight to above 5. If I'm driving with any throttle it stays there but if I lift off it drops to around 4. I've not had it drop below 5 on idle though. What could this be?

Thanks in advance.

James

What's the best way to go about this then? Is it easy to rewire?

Thanks, James

I presume that's following the "check your balls" thread?
