My 1986 944 NA automatic has a broken accelerator cable.
It has frayed on the inner cable between the bracket and the nipple. I will post a photo soon if that helps.
The Auto cable goes around the cam and runs back down under the tunnel to the transmission.

My question is, is this a 2 part cable?
If so, can I order/repair just the front end that runs back to the pedal?

The cable from the nipple on the cam all the way back to the transmission is fine.

I have reviewed the thread here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=12784

Which suggests either:
945 423 071 06 - Not sure what this is.
or
945 423 973 02 - This is the inner cable from the transmission to the throttle.

But I cannot see any photo of the first. All of this makes me think it is a 2 part cable.

Can anybody advise please?

Thanks in advance.
James
