Hi all,

First post, so go easy

I've recently bought a 944 S2 and I'm just working through a few niggles. One I have is with the rear boot hatch motor - the arm / cam that connects the motor to the release cable has snapped in two! Any cheap fixes for this or am I going to have to go to Porsche for the part?

Thanks in advance.

Porsche for the part is the quick, easy and very expensive option. However it's possible to repair the arm if you are careful in your workmanship. I did mine with some araldite and aluminium plate used as a splint, kept everything spotlessly clean and baked it in the oven (120DegC for 20 minutes) to ensure it set as hard as possible. Mine's lasted a couple of years and is fine.

Top man, thanks Oli. I'll have a go at a repair in that case, nothing to lose! :-D
