Post subject:  Hello to everyone from a frustrated 944S2 owner

Hi to all

My name is Paul, I live in Chesterfield in Derbyshire.
Car: Porsche 944S2 Guards red/ Full black leather 97K

I'm a newbie to the site having just spotted it on a google search ( well hidden ) whilst trying to find a sollution to my non starting 944S2.

I hope to become an active member, I'm a keen sports car enthusiast but this is my first Porsche and I love driving it. ( when it's going )

I'm going to find the appropriate place to post about the fault now and pray that someone can give me some much needed help and guidance. So anyone with talent around electrical faults on the 944S2( non starter with no spark ) I'd welcome your advice.

Thanks for now guys.

Paul

welcome Paul
S2 is quite a change from a 240Z eh !?
I had a 240Z and a 260Z for many years and loved them but god they are agricultural compared to the sophisticated comfort and speed of a 944S2 .

heres the 260Z with a spare engine fitted lol

Hi Peanut

Bob on mate !

Last one I had was a super samuri 240z Spike Anderson with the bronze and orange paintwork, what a car that was. I was getting 14MPG with the tripple webbers

The Porsche galvanised bodywork is a welcome addition as well.

Hi Paul..

Welcome to the forum... they're a great bunch of guys on here. No doubt you'll get your problem sorted.

Just in case you've had no joy, I recently had a similar problem in that my 944 would not start, with no spark. It turned out to be the cam sensors that needed changing. She starts first time now, as she generally does every time I go for a spin. It cost me about £250..

Hope this is of help...

All the best :)

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Baz, was that a self repair or through a garage and was it a Porsche specialist ?

Cheers

Hi - it was a garage who did the work - a trusted one who looks after my 944 well and not a specialist.

Hope this helps..
