Hi all
I have just purchased my first Porsche, it’s a 1990 Baltic Blue (or maybe Dove blue?) 944S2.

It’s taken me over two years to find the right car but after driving it home from Leicester it was well worth the wait! The car itself is in great condition for a 20 year old car, the previous owner had a stack of receipts along with a fully stamped service book from OPC and specialists. There are a few bits I’m keen to get checked (mainly the belts!) just for extra piece of mind so I’ll be booking it into my local specialist (Zentrum) shortly.

I know you'll like to see some picture’s of the car, I’ll post these on the 944 forum as soon as I can!

So, a little bit about me. I’m 34, married and I have lived in Nottingham all my life. I work in IT - I like to think I’m nothing like the guys form the IT crowd though!

Look forward to hearing from you.
Lee

Hi and welcome.

Not too far away from me then. Not sure if you can get along to our meeting this Tuesday? We meet 3rd Tuesday pf the month at Markfield - detials here: http://www.tipec.net/region_eastmidlands.php

You may be closer to SYNN though (http://www.tipec.net/region_southyorkshire.php)

I live in Loughborough, so you must have driven past us on the way back from Leicester.
I'm pleased you have a decent-sounding motor, and look forward to some piccies (please?)

Enjoy the ride.

Hi and welcome. :hello2: I hope you enjoy the car and look forward to seeing the pictures. The local meetings are always a good place to go when you're new, the car gets a bit of attention and the opinions are always welcome on the things to look out for ( eg. are you getting the cam chain checked too ).

Thanks for your replies, I'm feeling right at home already!

I'm giving the guys at Zentrum a call today. The previous owner had the belts and cam chain checked at gcr central for its last service, but the belts are due to be replaced soon so I might as well get it done now. They can check the water pump and cam chain while its there.

I did spot a nice guards red 944 heading southbound on the m1 on Saturday afternoon, it didn't seem to be going that fast though.

Must have been in first gear as red is the fastest by far
