Good morning, yesterday, after finally being given "permission" by my wife, I collected my "new" car - a black 964 C2 Cabriolet with light-grey interior, built in 1991, and apparently extremely well looked-after. Living in Munich can be a real blessing with 6 Autobahns leading out of the city - chose the one heading towards Salzburg to see what it could do - turned out it could do more than me since, at around 150mph, my confidence left me. Guess I'll have to take a safety course before trying again. So far very happy - engine roars like it should, brakes stop it on a dime and when it comes to cornering, again the beast can do more than I can! Only issue I have with it are that oil appears to be leaking ( v. slowly) from a small bolt in front of the rear right wheel ( oil drain plug on the thermostat). Another is that since yesterday evening it would appear that some liquid is leaking from underneath the front of the car, pretty much in the middle, and I have no idea what it even is let alone why it is leaking. Does anyone have any advice on this? Grüsse aus München Simon |
