Hi there to all,

Just joined the forum tonight. I met "Flash Gordon" by chance up here in Scotland and was directed to the club, not a member yet but that will be sorted soon. I have been watching from the sidelines for a few weeks and have enjoyed all your topics and posts. I have found most of the information usefull and I am looking forward to getting advice on keeping my car on the road. Boyhood fantasy bought a white 924 last year which progressed onto a 944 for this year, in what seems to the fastest colour!!!!!!! " Flash " is real gentleman and I am looking forward to membership and social events up here. I feel I know alot about all you lot as I have been watching your posts, so I thought it only fair that I posted an introduction so you can get to know me. The 944 is not on the road yet, so once it is in the correct shape and painted ( don't ask ), I will try and post pictures. I have never used a forum before, but I've seen the kids doing it, how hard can it be?

Speak to you all soon,

Lee.

So there is science to back up this theory. Another revelation for me.

LM3A is the paint code for guards red (the fastest colour)

How about some before & after pic's? You won't regret joining. Worth it for the insurance discount alone. After that everythings a bonus!

I have spent all day trying this, I have never done it before, so here goes.

The picture of the black door was taken yesterday morning before it was put on the transporter.

Please let the pictures turn out!!!

Hi and welcome from me at the other end of the country in the sunny(ish) South. Interesting fix required for the 944, going to need your membership discounts for the parts you'll be getting  Good time to start a restoration thread to keep us updated on how the repair is coming along and any questions, we're all here to help :bounce:
Good Luck

Andy

My first post was on earlier discussion about Heggarty insurance. Anyway on the TIPEC website it says you can get a discount on insurance. From where? I am insured for this year but any discounts for next year would help my already non existant budget to keep her on the road. This is going to be one of the first questions I ask Flash Gordon when I join. :D

I am hoping to get to the meeting on the 21st of March down in Ayrshire. I don't think the Porsche will be back by then so I will have to take the Pug' 407. I missed the meeting in Blair Atholl earlier this month because my sons British built sports car had the worlds worst oil leak. So this month I will hide the keys to the Pug' the night before.

I don't have a time line for getting the 944 back from the body shop, but after that I will have to get her prep'ed for paint. I will have a go at putting pictures back up then.
