Hi,
My names Darren (or ron for short), and I'm the very proud owner of a 1987 944 lux in white. Nice and simple 8v to show off. Never thought I'd ever own a Porsche, and here I am with a beauty. Looking forward to driving her about for fun, luckily my surfboard fits in for quick surfs around the coast. I'm based in Plymouth, Devon.

I've already posted a few topics as I need to get the cambelt replaced before I use her in anger. I'd already planned to do this but not quite so soon....

I don't think I'd even contemplate buying one of these cars without this forum. There is a wealth of knowledge and advice that feels like a nice security net!

If you see a white D reg lux out about in the SW give me a wave!

Nice car, but I don't share Jim's view about being the fastest colour. Comes a close second to RED though :D

Hope you enjoy ownership, and hopefully see it at some shows.

I quite like Bude - it's like being in the 1970's.... :bom:

There aren't many about down here. I grew up in Colchester, about a mmile from a Porsche dealer and they were verywhere. I thought that was normal....

Devon is a great place for these cars - it would be better without the 8' high hedges tho'!

Looks good. I'm in North Devon and don't venture south too often and my 944 isn't allowed near the roads for any aimless trips down that way whilst the sun is out. If I do see you don't be surprised to see a black Passat flashing and waving at you.

Have you been to any of the Devon & Cornwall TIPEC meets yet?
