I don't want to make myself sound too daft, but just browsing the forum which I spotted in GTPorsche magazine this morning. Really looking at purchasing a late 1980 911 Carrera and finally have the funds to purchase one after several years of saving. So really just want to do as much research as possible before I go on the hunt ![]() ![]() |

Welcome to the forum. The best advice I can give anyone looking for a Porsche is to pop along to their local Regional club night, talk to the guys and get a feel for the cars and what to look out for. On the website there is a tab for regions which will give you all the details. Any questions you may have please ask. |

Hi and welcome from me ![]() As mentioned get along to some club meets and events and I'm sure you'll find the info you need, may even give you some ideas on other models. Don't buy a lemon though, never been a good colour for any car ![]() Andy |

Will take a look at the Regional club night meet also. In regards to Lemon, never been a fan of that colour either ![]() |

Hi Chris, I'm located in the Bristol area. Unsure if it's a few of you guys but I often see quite a group of Porsche's at the Compass Inn car park, just off the Bath junction of the M4 motorway ![]() |

Cheers Chris |

Actually.... just a thought but there is a Bristol chapter of TIPEC. Have a look in the Regions area of this forum... could be just the thing you need to get started. Cheers Chris |
