Hi Shaun, welcome to the forum.

The classified section's link is on the main home page, not the forum.

911 & Porsche world's buyer's guide is here...http://www.chpltd.com/911_porsche_world/features_944.html

Hello Shaun, good luck hunting, pistonheads has the largest selection of cars, they do come up on here but if the car is known to be a good example it doesn't hang around long, stick around, ask plenty of questions and you might get someone willing to check out cars for you? Where in the country are you?

Hi Shaun & Welcome.

Plenty of cars around it's finding decent ones that's difficult.
Try 911 & Porsche World, Pistonheads & put the word out amongst the 944 orientated specialists.

Welcome Shaun

Plenty of 944's for sale - you just need to be patient and wait for a decent car to show up. Good luck with the hunting :D

Hi Shaun, Read the Hartech buyers guides & don't buy an S2 until you've been out in some of the others. There good but it narrows your options a lot. A mint rebuilt lux can be better than a tired S2! Sure there are guys on here with fantastic S2's but there not selling them. Since some of the other models are older you will find ones that have been rebuilt & had thousands spent on them. Bargain of the lot is the Twin cam S if you find a good one.
Then theres the Turbos.................
My advice look at everything that comes along that looks tidy & cared for! :)

An S2 is a great choice, plenty of power as standard and fair bit more refined.

may be worth while starting with an earlier 944 and get a better example if you are on a budget, as the cheaper S2s do tend to need work doing, belts for example are about £300, and the 2.5 8v are almost unburstable

also the bhp isnt the be and end all, the earlier 944 may be down on bhp comparison wise but they are still a great car as many on here will testify.
