Hi all,

Just thought I'd say hello as a newly paid up member!

I've also just moved to Bournemouth and hope to meet members in the area real soon.

After many years on the dark side (BMW ownership), I saw the light in 2005 and have owned a 911 996 2s, followed by three Boxsters.

My current drive is a 2008 987.1 Boxster S in basalt, which lacked a little TLC mechanically before I got it! I'm now gradually putting stuff right, starting with air con rads, various exhaust brackets, new clutch and flywheel and next week, front and rear control arms.

What's surprising is how much stuff needed doing on a 36000 mile, one owner car that looks like new. But that's Porsche ownership I guess.

Really looking forward to taking part in forum posts.

Also ex BMW and possibly difficult to go back because for a while now they have lacked driver feedback through the steering.
