Hi all! ![]() I've recently fulfilled a childhood dream and become the very proud owner of a Porsche 944. I'd been looking for one for a while and the right one came up at the right time and right price so I went for it! I'll not go into all the detail on this post as that'll be for further posts but basically it's an early one (1983) and a proper driver's car - no power steering, big four pot lump in the front, gearbox in the rear and a nut in the middle! Someone described the 944 in this way and I can safely say that they were spot on with their description! I've got a passion for cars and love the 80's and 90's cars. I'm a big believer in forums and owners clubs etc. It's a great way to discuss issues and help each other out. I am in no way any type of expert but I'll certainly help out where I can. So naturally I looked to join an owner's club having bought my 944. I opted for TIPEC as it's had some great reviews and was reasonably priced too. Having attended the Classic Motor Show at the NEC again this year (it's an annual outing for my friend and I) I was fortunate enough to meet with Sean and Jason who were doing TIPEC proud by having an amazing stand with some great cars! For anyone reading this and haven't been to the CMS at the NEC then I can highly recommend going! It's full of all sorts for all different tastes. Big thanks to Jason and Sean for making me feel very welcome to the club and taking time to chat with me and discussing the possibility of something new for TIPEC. More details to follow in a more suitable post - got to keep you interested haven't we ![]() Right, I'll leave this post here as it is only a mere "Hello" but I look forward to speaking with many more of you all here on TIPEC and meting up with all at various events throughout the forthcoming year. See you all soon, safe driving, Vinny |

Thanks Sean. Ah, did the dropbox thingy work? I spoke (via e-mail world) with Jason the other day - all in hand ![]() Being a techie on here, how do I get decent photos to be shown in posts? I've done the dropbox thing but would be good to be able to show the pics in a post without people having to follow a link. I know some people don't like clicking links for safety reasons. I'm one of those people and very cautious about what links I click. All the other photo's I've seen are linked to photobucket but when I looked at photobucket it looked a dodgy? |
