Hi all,
just a short introduction, my name is Markus, just another enthusiast from Germany. I stumbled across this forum lately and I like it a lot! Until recent I spent my time (and money) on aircooled VW's but I finally bit the bullit and bought my first Porsche, a 1986 alpine white 944 Targa with virtually no extras.





The previous owner only drove 500 km per year in the last 9 years. The overall appearance is o.k., but there is a lot do on the mechanical side of things: new belts, shocks, rubber bits etc.
It came with some "special items" which need to be adressed as well, like the "16V" antenna and the Strossek rear bumper:



I checked countless cars and found a lot of rust buckets and real bad repaired wrecks before I bought mine and overall I am well chuffed.

Well, the Porsche Freunde meeting is incidently on the exact same date as the Maikäfertreffen in Hannover -> May 1st - an alomst 30 year affair- and until now I lean more towards the ACVW show - but: you never know!
