Hi from Yeovil in Somerset, I became aware of TIPEC recently when reading about the simply porsche event earlier this year, I hope to be there next year. I came looking around the forum to identify the best option for servicing my Cayman S very soon. I'm currently torn between JMG, Steve Bull and OPC. (Currently leaning heavily toward JMG because I'm an engineering geek and like their approach, but I'm very open to suggestions.) Anyone active on DW or DN may recognise my user name from over the last year or two. Looks like there's lots of useful info here so I'll try to use the search function before I get down to my stupid questions ... |

I use Steve Bull, always very helpful & fast service, only about 6 miles up the road from me too. |

Hi again guys, finally got round to joining the club after a very hectic period of work. Hoping to get to the Beaulieu show this year and spend a bit more time on here when work allows. Regards, Mark |

Hi to all from Yeovil, have a 1985 944 bought it in 1988 not used for the ten years but just got it up and running with two new crank sensors BMW but not the prob, battery must have good cranking volts then started 1st go. Have two other Porsche 968s convertibles one auto, one six speed manual. Do my own repairs cam and balance shaft belts etc.[balance shaft belt was broke on one when bought just ready to to jump into the cam belt drive, slight vibration led to finding the fault] Just had the hoods replaced but had them carried out by the local trimmers. Am not a club member yet but may join one day. Try and meet up at Beaulieu with the 944. |
