Hi all. I am a bike mechanic from Bournemouth and work for a company called Moore Speed Racing. I enjoy my job! I build all sorts of streetfighters and custom stuff and am just fitting a 240 section front wheel to a supercharged , 300hp Triumph Rocket III. HI!
I am totally new to this, both Porsches and forums so please excuse any naivety in either form. I have recently acquired a 1988 Porsche 944s 2.5 16v. It seems to be a fairly solid car and have enjoyed the few miles I have done in it. The car was bought as a track day project with ambitions of perhaps doing some hill climbing or maybe a bit of endurance racing. I have begun the weight loss program and some very needed servicing with proper strip down of everything I have taken off and re-built as best I can. I am a firm believer that suspension holds the key to any lap time improvements but want to make sure the fueling is really nice as well! I feel the intake/MAF meter/ECU to be a serious let down on this car and very restrictive. I have spent several hours, well, many hours trawling the internet and forums for an answer to seriously good gear for this car but have drawn a blank and am wondering if there is anybody who may have some definitive advise on the best way to go about tuning this car ?
Any advise very much appreciated!!!
Many thanks in advance!

Welcome. You're interested in 944 engine management? I would consider researching Augment Automotive.

Was going to suggest Augment as well.

I believe their 8v ecu can be adapted to be used with the 16v engine, but they were planning on doing a plug & play setup for the 16v. I look forward to them getting the 16v kit sorted as I also believe that with modern management the 2.5 16v engine has good potential!

Good luck - get a project thread started! !

Tom @ Augment will reply. His upgrades are the only proven power gains for the n/a.
