Hi folks,

Always said I'd own a Porsche before I turn 40 and managed to do that with 17 years to spare! :bounce:

The head gasket went on my CRX after a recent engine swap and I'd had enough so went on the hunt for a 944 and ended up with this last weekend! Heard this is a good place to go so..

Haven't had a chance to get any decent pictures yet or give it the bloody good clean it needs so this will do for now

Image

Already got a list of things to do but for now I'm just sticking to driving the thing and forever going for the handbrake on the left

Thanks :)

Welcome. You get used to the handbrake thing after fifteen years or so :)

Welcome,

My 1985.5 is practically the black twin of yours minus the rear lower spoiler and sunroof.

I got mine in June last year and it's my first porsche.

Enjoy.

P.S. Tom Barks at Augment Automotive is a good 944 specialist near you. He's developing a number of performance mods for the 2.5L 8v including a replacement performance cam and a supercharger!

Hopefully the bonnet release won't be used more often than needed!

I almost bought a black one, they look fantastic but it turned out to be a bit more hanging then the advert liked to say!

Ahh that's handy to know, cheers :)

I live pretty much in Dursley although I'll never admit it! I used to live in Bristol very near to The Plough which after a nosey is where some meets are?

Welcome! Pics of the CRX please, I had a mk2 as my first proper car and loved the thing to death. Unfortunately it wasn't me that killed it, but my old man one foggy evening  still miss it dearly. Nice 944.

Thank you!

Aww no :( I keep searching classifieds etc and there's hardly any coming up for sale these days!
They're great little cars, had mine just over 2 years and apart from the one spectacular fail in the last few months it never let me down. Was very sad to see it go but with the joys of social media I'll still get to see it!

May not be to anyone's taste, haha, I loved it 8)

Very nice, I do like the turbines. They really get under your skin and I loved mine and drove the nuts off it. I guess it would be rude not to air a photo :p

Don't see 'em in day to day use much now, but the crx was always a pretty little car.
