Hi all.

I've recently bought a 1989 944 2.7 Lux.

It's a nice old girl with a few character adding quirks.

Took it to my usual garage - told its fairly sound but front shocks have some play and it needs a few spots tidying up on the body.

Hoping to get these bits done within a month or so.

I'm actually using it as a daily driver on my 30 mile round trip commute and really enjoying it.

Love driving something a bit different!

Always wanted one since my next door neighbour had a new white S2 back when I was about 7/8 years old. Okay, so it's a 'base' model but hey ho!

Looking to learn a few things on the site, get guidance on how to fix a few minor issues and read up on other people's experiences!

I live in Stansted and work in Harlow, where I've seen an identical black 944!

Couple of pics:

Cheers!

I'm well into my cars, trackdays and have 19 Nürburgring trips under my belt.

This is my 51st car and I'm 30 years old.

I have never driven anything quite so balanced as this.

The understeer/oversteer balance is really quite good, I am enjoying it rather a lot.

It's sadly going to be a short term affair, I think, as it's my only car. I am taking company car allowance and I don't think it'll be long before I'm pulled up on policy (should be <10 years old and <80,000 miles) but I'm enjoying it whilst it lasts.

I could be tempted to keep as a second car, we will see.

Might be doing a trackday at Rockingham 8th March in it.
