Hi Guys and Gals,

Just joined as thinking of coming back to the Porsche clan. In my life I have had a 924, 944 Lux, 911SC, 2 * 944 Turbo and a 911 C4 (993). I have always been into cars and had too many to name. Currently I have a Morgan Plus8 that's in superb condition with many extras, but after 3 years am missing a 911 and am thinking of selling the Plus 8 and searching out a nice 911, hence why I have joined. I am also on the hunt for a genuine well cared for 944 for my nephew.

Cheers

Adrian :D

Hi Adrian,

Glad to see you've joined, just got back from viewing the 944 in Taunton. double the price of any 944 i've seen 7 owners from new. had all new tires, only two very small cracks coming through on the dash. bit of bubbling in the paint work. some rust in the usual place's checked seat although not torn were showing signs of the age pretty grubby, the struts that hold the bonnet up needed replacing.
the sun roof didn't open, one of the catches on the boot didn't secure properly, the previous own was one of the dealers despite having it for 4 years couldn't remember when the cam belt was last changed, only had about 4 Mot's. oh and its idle was at around 1400 rpm. (read a few threads on here about problems with the idle and it could be any number of problems) all in all it was fairly tidy but compared to the other motors I've seen there's no way its worth double the price, at £4995.

here's the link if anyone else wants to have a look.

I could be wrong???

sounded better than to blue one we viewed last weekend though! no leaks but it was in the showroom so it would be hard to tell if its been in there awhile.

Speak soon.

Alex
