Hello all,
Thought I would join a Porsche forum and maybe the TIPEC so here I am.
I have owned my 987 Gen II 3.4 PDK for about a year and a quarter now.
I owned a MX5 from new and kept reading about people making comparisons with Boxsters after they had done some major engine and suspension mods to their MX5s, so I guess owning a Boxster was a natural progression for me, so I scraped all the money I could together and took the plunge. I must say not much of a comparison really, I have never looked back.
I do find it a bit scary sometimes to think I have a Porsche sat on the drive ( especially when it's out there in all weathers because I can't garage it ) so I am keeping my fingers crossed that nothing major will befall it! I have a Porsche extended warranty until July next year so after that will have to decide whether to trade in or keep it.
The main thing is I absolutely love driving the car, just wish I could spend a lot more time doing it...

Well guys don't want to bore you any further nice to be here :)

Hello and welcome, quite a few ex and current MX5 owners on here :)

As long as the Boxster is well waxed and frequently washed the winter will not effect it.

The Central Region are a good bunch and well worth a visit to see what they get up to. :bounce:

Thanks very much for your kind invite, however I may have to pass on it this time, I will hopefully get across in the near future.

Thanks very much for your warm welcome and advice. I do a pretty good job at keeping the car clean ( difficult at the moment with all this rain, a big double garage would solve the problem, but can't see it happening :( ).
