Many years ago.............. I bought a 911E Targa, a 1973 model, I loved this car.

Married.... kids...had to sell the car :( Now however, I am retiring and am keen to find my old car.

Index Number is RLT911L

Can anyone help me please? my email is froggybar@hotmail.com ph is 01572 823161

I have tried the DVLA and guess what, they couldn't / wouldn't help, huge surprise huh. Car is still on the Registry, it is around and here's hoping someone knows something about this car.

Most grateful for any help.

Cheers

Hi and welcome :hello2: Sorry I can't help any further, but like you said its still registered. I was recently told, by a lawyer, that you can apply to DVLA to find out who owns a car. I'll see if I can find the email? :D

Can you apply for information via the V888 form? I gave the DVLA the £5 fee and they sent me copies of all prior V5 documents for my car so i could check the mileage wasn't false.

i don't know if they'll be so keen if you say you're not the current owner but perhaps there is a suitable phrase you can use.

I think the DVLA have an obligation to fulfill your request under freedom of information rules, providing you give reasonable justification and agree to not misuse the personal data of others.

good luck!

Just checked DVLA website and says car hasn't been taxed since 2007, six years off road is a long time, good luck in your search
