My 1982 944 needs a facelift. Question is how best to go about it? The bodywork needs a repaint, but since 944's are not as sought after as other Porsche and values are therefore less, I don't want to overspend, so am looking for an inexpensive approach. Any thoughts?

Hi Charles - Find a good body shop and a 2xpack respray to the original colour - just make sure it's done nice! Any Porsche is worth the effort!

Hey Charles,

The best way to get a good job done at a reasonable price is to do the prep work yourself. This is the most time consuming part of any paint job, and must be done properly, a good job is 99% down to preparation.

Find someone who will do the job for cash on a weekend, someone you can trust who you know is reliable, and you won't go far wrong!!

Best of Luck
