Hi

Just wanted to say hello.

I have never owned a Porsche, but am going to look at a very nice '87 928 with 24,000 miles on the clock. It is advertised near the £20k mark which seems a bit high unless it is mint.

Any words of wisdom would be most helpful.

Hi and welcome £20k does sound a bit/very high. I'd expect it just out the wrapper for that. Where are you in the courty, maybe someone local could show you round a 928 and give you pointers onwhat to look for?

Welcome to the club!

Andrew has given greeat advice and help - unless you are very familiar with 928s it's essential to have it checked out by someone who knows them. That would apply regardless but especially at that price wich is unheard of for an analogue dash S4. If that't your budget then you have a coice of ery 928 for sale in the UK!

Yes it's incredibly low mileage but if it's been neglected for long periods there could be expensive catch up maintenance to do. For guidance I bought my current S4 for £8000 at 65,000 miles 3 years ago, and it had been fastidiously maintained, so £20K is strong.

The 928uk group has hundreds of keen members, so very likely you'll have someone close by who can help inspect the car. I wish it were closer to me as would be fascinated to look at one with such low mileage.
