Hi all, I have just inherited a Porsche 944 which I have decided I want to keep. Thought I would join you guys and with any luck get some help and advice along the way. I live outside Wisbech in Cambridgeshire, am a family man and have no mechanical experience what so ever. In fact my first question in the relevant part of the forum is going to be who can service and look after my 944.

Hi and welcome :hello2: Try posting a few pictures, that goes down well. Someone near you will chip in with a local indy for maintenance and repairs. :D

Thanks for the welcome. I will take some pics soon when I pick her up. I have no issue paying a decent mechanic to service and do jobs, I just dont have the best experience with garages. Recomendations are best as always.

Really looking forward to getting her home, garaged and a good polish and bit of TLC. Thats about as far as my talent goes. :D

Welcome Lucky fella, inheriting a Porsche :) , keep it and look after it and it should give you lots of pleasure. I got my 1st 944 in 2004, now on my 3rd (& last).
Have posted regarding servicing, I'm a retired Engineer and now leave all the maintenance/servicing/MOT to a specialist (JMG)

Thanks all for the welcomes, as soon as I see her next I will take photos. She needs a bit of work and already have found the forum helpful.

Hello, I just joined this weekend too after I picked up a 944 '88 177k.

I'm in East Sussex so can't help with local servicing.

Look forward to seeing some pics.
