Hello from Barnsley. I'm Garry, a new first time Porsche owner (since September) and loving every minute of it. The Boxster has been my dream car since it first came out and now I've taken the plunge after 10 years of MX5s

Hi Gary

Welcome to the forum from another Barnsley lad, lived off Donny Road near town then moved out to Darton. :)

Well done on getting your dream car, you should have lots of fun when it stops bloody raining.

Thanks guys. I'm loving it already. Thinking about doing the Le Mans trip if I can persuade the wife. It sounds awesome

At least you'll have more luggage space in the Boxster than I get in a 911. :D

True. It's surprising how much you can get in it. We've already managed a couple of weekends away, not sure how we would manage for Le Mans tho lol

Tell her it's an adventure. I plan on living a long time and boring everyone around me with the stories of my travels. I don't want to be sitting in a nursing home wishing I had done more. I plan to go in 2014, and can't wait. :D

Lee - When I read the last bit I'm assuming you meant Le Mans not a nursing home !

Welcome guv! Great car! I've got a Boxter variant - as Clarkson would say, a 'Cockster', had it only 6 weeks, looks great too but hasn't got the headroom that yours has!!!

Hey hi there. I'm told the Cayman is very nice but I'm a soft top man myself. Started with the Spitfires way back
