Just joined up here having lurked at Porsche-1 for a bit. I'm Rob and I have an '87 911 Carrera 3.2 (as pictured in my avatar if I've managed to work the controls correctly). I've previously owned an '86 944 S1 2.7 Lux and a 'late seventies' 924 with a broken odometer and no paperwork!
I've just moved to Ruislip in North West London from the depths of South London and I'm enjoying being further away from the traffic and hooded scumbags!
I love my 'new' 911 - it's been around a bit (168k) but it runs like a dream and I'm nearly there sorting out the final bits on it: only a respray, new alarm/immobiliser, passenger door electrics, sunroof cable and some interior bits to go now!
Now that I mention it, the starter motor is a bit iffy, the windscreen washers are lazy and the rear speakers could do with new escutions, and the passenger side is missing a door bin. Oh and new tyres for the summer I think, probably a refurb of the Fuchs as well. The stereo was wired in by Halfords.. that'll have to be redone properly........
So I'll have lots of questions for you all I'm sure! I'm a keen photographer and I'm pretty good with portrait and people photography (but a bit rubbish with car photography!) so if anyone has any photographic needs, I can probably help. Oh and I drink Guinness!
