Hi and welcome. :hello2: The Cayman looks great, I've got one booked as a courtesy car in September when my car goes in for a wee check at OPC.

Thanks I noticed pics were requested on other threads so thought I'd start off with some, I know we all know what they look like but it's still nice to see a picture and thanks for the welcomes.

Thanks, do you know which one they are lending you, normal, S or R?

The 986 will always be held in high regard it was my first Porsche and for that it's special.

I know the Cayman has only been with us a month but I've covered 2000 miles in it and it feels just right, the way it handles, the grip, the comfort, the sound. Its my every day car so it's going to be used, I went 2.9 PDK as I knew it would sit in traffic (as we did for an hour on Saturday on the M25. It will return 33 - 37mpg on a motorway run and tax is reasonable.

The car is dual personality below 3500rpm it just ambles around no drama, then above it has the nice howl of the flat 6 and a turn of speed suitable for daily driving and to have some fun.

No intention to track this car, I have a MINI for that and that is fun in a different way.

I never really got on with either 996, nice cars but something about them that just isn't in the 986/987 platform.

For me the favourite is the Cayman it's so far everything I would want and need in an everyday car, I also have a spare set of wheels shod with winters ready for all year action :)

I'm sure it'll just be a normal. I think I'd like to try PDK? :?

P.S. I got your email and will be in touch with your membership number shortly. Thank you. :D

I like PDK this is my first non-manual Porsche, just been for a great round trip drive around the evo triangle, trying the PDK out on more twisty roads much fun and I like the paddles :)

Thanks on the membership.
