I have 2005 /911c2s 2800miles went to top up oil and found white gunk on filler cap water in oil? Everything appears normal oil temp/ pressure water level any ideas would be gratefully received

White gunk on filler cap is often a sign of short runs and low outside temperature!!
Are you driving the car regularly and is it getting up to full engine temperature?

Thanks for your reply bob944 I have had the car 4 years and mainly done short trips never had this problem before the car was serviced in September oil was changed then this is the first top up since. I maybe used it a bit more on short trip this winter.i suppose I should drop the oil and get engine flushed then new oil?

Mayonnaise at the filler cap is normally a sign of head gasket failure Hope not though
