Hi,

I'm in Nuneaton so not that far from you

As for the 'upgrades' there is something that I don't like, a previous owner has fitted a boost gauge in the dash on the passenger side. It's ruined the dash so I think I may change it, I'm not sure how hard it is to source one, the car has only done 59k and it ruins a nice interior.

WoW 59K thats very low :D

a new dash can be picked up for under £100 from breakers or ebay ...very easy to fit If you need a hand bring it over :D I have had mine in and out a few times  around 3hrs max to change

regards Ken

Welcome to the forum. Very tidy turbo there like the splitter and mirrors. What exhaust is that with the shotgun exit? I never managed to find one for mine when I had it. Any other engine/mechanical mods? Alisdair (Sulzeruk on here) will be able to help with a dash I'm sure or JMG.

Hi

Blimey

Like Lindsay says come along to club night

There are a few club members of TIPEC who live in Nuneaton

I am one of the guys that runs the Central Region and I live in Nuneaton but that's no recommendation

However, the club is universally highly recommended as being friendly. Also we are especially busy with things to do in the Central Region

See you at club night

I've only just read the thread and so have missed the central meet :(

I am kinda suprised (in a good way) that there is such a following/friendly community for these cars

As for the car it has had some very mild tuning by AMD which took it from 250bhp to 305bhp on their dyno.
Hi-Flo Turbo
Wastegate and dump valve replaced
AMD remap on shell optimax

The intake is totally standard with paper element.
The exhaust system is original except the rear silencer which is a powerflow item with twin tailpipes (which I think looks nice if not original), it is extremely quiet.
I am sure more power is to be had by upgrading to a 3" system and fitting a free flow replacement panel in the airbox so that may be on the cards. Currently the car is almost too quiet although a bigger bore exhaust and different air intake may make it too loud.

There are other changes to the car, some I like and some I don't:

Braided steel brake hoses - like

Red calipers - not sure will prob leave as the car is red they don't look too daft

Cup wheels - like

Teardrop mirrors - like

White dial conversion - would like to remove but am unsure of what is involved and am concern I may damage the original faces behind. I could aways try it and if it is unsuccessful refit them.

Boost gauge in centre of dash - HAS TO GO, am actively looking to source a mint replacement dashboard. Thank for the offer of help fitting it Kongsodoken, I might take you up on that.

Alloy pedals - Not sure, fairly inoffencive although kinda give it a chavy look, which isn't a good thing.

A few pieces of plastic trim inside have been painted in metallic silver. Whilst this has been done really well I prefer the standard look.

The handbrake handle and button are alloy, as is the gear knob insert. I presume there are none standard.

Atermarket steering wheel, its ok for now Although I fancy swapping this for a 968 CS wheel with porsche badge (if they fit?)

Looks extremely nice, I'm looking for something similar myself and with you on the boost gauge!
