Hi, new to the forum (obviously!). Not bought a a car yet, but looking at a boxter, so need some advice.

Good choice the Boxster, great fun Roadster with great performance for your buck.

Like any sports car of this age buy on condition and service history. A book full of oil changes is not proof of a good history, ask for invoices and where the car has been maintained.

There are enough low mileage well maintained examples, you should be able to pick one up.

Decide which size engine you want, colour and specification then go looking.
