Hi all,

Just joined the forum as i'm currently looking at buying a 924S or a 944. I have seen a 944 for sale with 'original golden wheels', does anyone know if golden wheels were an original option or have they just been sprayed?

Many thanks,

Dave.

Can you show us the ad? Sounds a bit ridiculous to me.

Maybe fondmetal or BBS wheels as a lot of these were gold

Unfortunately it was on eBay and the item has ended, although it didn't sell. I've attached a link but it might not work. The quote below was lifted from the ad and also a pic

'And it also comes with the very rare golden original Porsche alloys'

They look exactly the same as Teledials but are gold. Pretty horrible actually hut the rest of the car looks ok.

I actually think that red and gold go well together, but having never seen teledials in gold, I can't imagine that they're original.

It also looks like it's had some sill repair work judging from that black strip along each side, or protected, or badly bodged. Possibly covering up worse.

It's a good price, but you would need to check any major engine repairs.

Interior looks tidy.

Hi, if it didnt sell you may be able to bag a bargain. i have never seen gold teledials either, but its easy to paint wheels any colour you choose.
