Hi folks. Thought it was time to join up and say hello. My 944 has been in the workshop for 18 months of the 3 years I have had it. Now with new inner and outer sills, all the little dings removed and a fresh coat of paint going on during the week. New springs and aeroquip brake lines and we should be back on the road in a week or 2 (Mind, I said that a month after it went in to the garage!).

Now it's time to try and source those little bits that I need to finish it off. Does anyone know where I could get hold of some of the fabric to repair my drivers seat? It's the beige and white pinstripe (mine is an 88 Lux). The outer edges are beige leatherette and I could probably do with a bit of that too just to do the job properly. The dealer I bought the car from gave me the name 'South Down' but I can't find anything on the web.

Thanks for the help.

Sounds like 'linen' as an interior colour. Yup Southbound is the place but be sitting down when you talk to them

Dem is 'ere http://www.southboundtrimmers.com/

A guy on the Bay of E was advertising the material a while ago. He was in Germany, might be worth a hunt for.

Not so new if you've been at it for 3 years! It is worth the pain if your mad enough. Can't help with the trim as I mainly concentrate on the mechanics. My seats weren't so bad. Lot of these are being broken at the moment so before paying a bomb for fabric & upholstery you may find a tidy interior complete on ebay or from one of the breakers. Black leather was fairly popular. Quite easy to restore if not ripped.

Try one of these mate! Far cheaper than Southbound! classic-car-solutions.de or werk924.com .I bought some Pascha from the first one for 79euros for a metre.Southbound had previously quoted me over £200.00 for it!  carraige was about £15.00.You can e-mail them in English if you dont know any German .By the way,a metre is 1.4 metres wide when you are working out how much you need. :)

Thanks Jim

I'm not too sure which mine is. Linen seems to be the most likely but in the photos I've seen that looks more cream than mine. I would describe the seats as light beige. The Classic Car Solutions site sounds right with the light beige and white pinstripe but I don't want to order the wrong stuff!
Has anyone bought any of that from them and could post a pic? Thanks guys.

Can't be sure but I seem to remember seeing a beige seat like that at Porscheshop Open day on the racking in the warehouse.
Might be worth a call?
