If you are having trouble getting the glue off a guy over on the 968UK forum has had great success with:
"First pick off the bigish bits that come off easily then dust with cement rub it in, and a good spray of carb cleaner then give it a scrub over with wire wool, and another spray of carb cleaner to finish off."

Owned my current 993 Carrera S for over 3 years and am currently turning it into a pretty track focused car (sacrilege to many I know) having removed the whole interior, sunroof, AC, door cards, electric motors, stereo and airbags. Still removing the glue at the moment but next month the interior will be re-painted and roll cage, harnesses and bucket seats fitted.
