Hi all,

Been looking at 911's on and off for a few years now and in November talked a friend into selling his to me as I knew how well it had been cared for.

Manual 2002 Carrera 2 with 74k miles
Koni shocks and H&R springs
Porsche Sports Exhaust
Bose
Aerokit

Have been enjoying it so far but as with most older cars it had a few niggles that I've been sorting out.

Since purchase I have:

Corrected the front bumper alignment
Fitted the correct clips and screws to the bottom of the skirts
Removed and restuck the stainless door trim plates
2 new front tyres and alignment
Oil pressure switch (gauge wandered up and down randomly at constant revs)
Replaced plugs and coil packs and carried out a compression test (possible the worst plug change I have ever experienced on a car)
New large battery with ctek charger

Few pics taken on a recent drive out.

And a few other random ones.

Hope to get along to some meets in the NW area.

Hi, Depending on which part of Greater Manchester you are based you may be nearer NW regional monthly meets (Boatyard Inn Junction 3 M65, 1st Monday of month) or Cheshire/Staffs meets (The Whipping Stocks, near Knutsford, 3rd Tuesday of month). I go to both regions meets.....we're a friendly bunch!

It's short notice for you, but there is a Porsche RS track day at Oulton Park this Friday 20th March....members from both the above regions are attending as spectators in the morning at least . Entry is free and there is a chance of passenger rides :)

Thanks for the welcome, I'm based in Oldham, work at Salford Quays. Will definitely be along to one of the meets though.

Track day sounds excellent however too short notice for time off work unfortunately.

Hi Lee!

Nice car! Will probably see you around the M60 at some point!

There's a Cheshire/ Staffs run down the National Brewery Centre this Saturday meeting at The Whipping Stocks Pub near Knutsford at 10am if you're interested. Tour is about £7.95 per head IIRC. The Facebook link for info and contact is https://www.facebook.com/groups/TIPEC.CS/

Enjoy!
