Picking up a 944 S2 this weekend for the wife as a step up from an MX-5.
Must admit I wanted to get one of these when she chose the MX-5.
We'll be bringing it back over the border to Wales.

Belts, seen plenty of advice on here, but find myself in a slightly different situation to usual.
The belts are 4 years old, and from memory had new chain and slipper too, BUT, the car's only done about 6000 miles since then.
What do you reckon?

The belt is lifed at 4 years or 45K so is really due. Low miles makes the situation worse rather than better as the idlers will have been stationary under load whilst it has not been run.

It'll always be a worry in the back of your mind if you don't do it and eventually, you'll have to do it anyway. You'll also kick yourself extremely hard if it all goes pop.

Let's see some piccies of the new car when you get time mate.

As Jim says 4 years life on belts, chain and tension slipper should be ok

Just dropped it off with D9 in Porthcawl for belts, will take a worry off our minds and let us enjoy it properly.

Picture from just after we got it home. Lane makes it look as if it's not sitting right, but it's fine on tarmac.
(If I've remembered picture linking right)
