Hi everyone,
I'm new to Porsche ownership having purchased my 911 last August. I've always had petrol running through my veins and enjoy getting the spanners out whenever the chance arises. I've been looking to join a club for a while and was considering both TIPEC and PCGB. In the end I decided to go with TIPEC as you seem to be more a more sociable and informal group of enthusiasts (not wanting to disrespect PCGB). Anyway, in the past I have owned, a Caterham, a TVR, various MG's, a TR6 and built a DAX Tojeiro cobra replica.
I have been involved in many car club activities and really enjoy making new friends and getting out for social activities. I look forward to meeting many of you over the coming months.
The car, attached is a couple of photos. I understand it not to everyones taste (but I like it and that's what counts) it's a 1985 3.2 modified to a 964 turbo spec (body only). During the winter months I have been working on the underbody, cleaning the engine, powder coating the fan assembly, currently replacing the carpets and refurbishing the interior trim. Thanks for looking and bring on spring!! :D

Yep, welcome to TIPEC. Cumbria isn't a million miles from the North West Region so feel free to come to a meet or on one of our runs. I do like a 911 'bitsa' & I mean that in the nicest sense!

Was it garaged with a Violet 993? I know where the car lived, but don't know the owner. Some friends have a good look round it and say it was in exceptional condition, you've got a cracker if it's the car I think it is. :D

It is a small world, I nearly bought one of those houses in that photo. It belonged to an ex-footballer and his wife was selling cheap it as she couldn't/didn't want to move back in. Gory details which I'll not post here, but if your really interested google Paul DiResta and step-dad, it was Pauls mum who was selling up.

We've got chippy tea runs in March and April, Wray Festival and Jasmine open evening in May all to look forward to. It's all happening (I never miss an opportunity to promote TIPEC NW).
