Have just ordered 2 Conti Sport tyres for the 944 from Black Circles.

Quoted "Porsche1" on checkout as per All Torque instructions for club discount and had the following message:

"Error - Discount code entered is invalid or has expired - discount removed from price"

That explains it - I was trying to order some tyres today and it would not recognise the "porsche1" coupon - although I did not get any error messages.
Mind you, even without the discount they were quite cheap - but if we have negotiated a discount, why not get it?

Couldn't BMTR match or better Black Circles

I think I would go to BMTR as Black Circles only seem to act as a facilitator and unless you use a known and trusted garage via them, then there is them there alloys to think about

I had the same problem recently with Auto Bulbs Direct.

We should probably look at checking up on all the club discounts, make sure the list is current and not misleading.

I spoke to a sales assistant at BlackCircles who looked us up and confirmed that TIPEC is still on their list and Porsche1 is a valid coupon code. However, the system did not recognise it.
He asked me to call back on Monday when the Marketing dept are open again, so he can check with them. I will do that and report back.

So I have just spoken to the marketing dept of BlackCircles and they told me that this code has expired. "you need to talk to your car club, sir, and ask them to give you a new code".

Whether this means we need to re-negotiate the discount, I don't know.

Today I have emailed autobulbs and Black Circles.

Apologies for the codes not working, first I have heard of it for both companies. Why they don't tell us first is so frustrating.

If I haven't resolved them by the end of this week I will remove them from the AT list.

Autobulbs code is now working, I've just checked it.

Blackcircles I have had a reply, they have changed the % discount and I've asked Paul for his view on whether it is worth bothering with them anymore.

Discount is a discount - even if it isnt as big as we would like

even a couple of quid saved is a beer on club night

Just ordered front tyres and used discount code in this months mag and it worked. Got £5.57 off order value of £162.98 and tyres were the cheapest i could find on net
P.S Had tyres fitted by a company called 1st Class Tyres & Autocare Ltd in Lutterworth, they were superb. Very carefull in handling wheels and took time to ensure they did not mark them. Well impressed would recommend them if you are in area

The code in All Torque expired mid-2010 and is now no longer valid.
