Is there any way we could have a central/global calendar for all events/regional meets etc rather than having to filter through all the regions?

I think it would be useful for members who border a number of regions and for the hardcore who fancy joining in on other events.

I know there are other ways of looking for these things but if they were in one area for Example under the birthdays section of board index we might be able to boost numbers at events?

I don't see how that would work as it would become a jumble fairly quickly.

What do others think?

I hope I am not making this out to be more complex than I am aiming for. Something like we had when we shared the Porsche-1 forum was what I was getting at?

I understand, I just think there is so much going on that it will soon get messy.

There are currently 240 entries across the 4 forums which I think keeps it more relevant to the area.

Like I said lets see what the others think.

Off topic:-

Have you sent the deatils of your new venue to Dave and Tony?

Can you drop Dave a note as well so he can update the new members letters.

Cheers Sean.

I am anticipating a few more cars at the next meet so I'll add some pics with us in.

to simplify things you could have the regions as extra forums, it doesn't take much to setup, just go in admin/forums and edit, add or remove forums. have main Grupp north as the main forum then sub forums as follows.. scotland forum, NW forum NE forum cheshire/staffs etc etc for the north. same with all main regions. that way its not so jumbled and easy to navigate to the region you want ;)

I see where you are coming from but...

Id prefer a small summary calender tyoe affair somewhere on the homepage - I dont have time to read all the threads about things going on so if I could see at a glance whats going on I might be tempted in a few more cross region visits.

I can see that would be useful for own regions but it still means actually reading the threads to see whats going on and many simply dont have time or inclination to do this.

If people are just browsing our site and can see an event in their area at a glance they may be tempted to pop along and then catch the bug like the rest of us.

I really like the structure of this forum but its a feature from the old site that I used to use allot.
