All Torque online

Post by poprock »

I’m sure most of you are aware that All Torque gets posted up online, usually one issue behind the current printed one. This makes for a handy reference archive – especially for the DIY articles.

For anyone who wasn’t aware, it’s here: http://www.issuu.com/tipec and Issuu now also have iPhone/iPad/Android apps, so you can read All Torque on your phones and tablets too.

I love a bit of readership data, so I thought I’d share the 2014 figures with you. Our online editions of All Torque were read 2,144 times over the year … and within that were roughly 45,200 page reads (or pages looked at – we have a lot of pictures). In total, the last 41 issues of the magazine are up there (all the ones since I took over as editor). Feels like a lot of work when you see it in one place!

Being a newbie here, unsurprisingly this was new to me. So I read a few. Very well presented, digital (a must) not too long and an interesting read. Great work 8)

Thanks for this Tony!

Had no idea it was available online and archived, let alone that there's an app/ I'll download this evening.

My dead tree version arrived today. Only had time to skim but looks a great issue as ever and I'm looking forward to thorough read.

I did have time to read Sean's column so was shocked by his news. "Irreplaceable" gets bandied about but it applies in this case.

Anyway thanks for putting together another issue. I was on stand at NEC (another article I'm looking forward to reading by Derek and Brian!) and potential members who were given sample of All Torque were hugely impressed.

Cheers

All Torque is a mammoth amount of work and you should be really proud of all 41 issues. From my side it's great working with an Editor that is willing to communicate and share ideas.

Clubs our size do not produce magazines of this quality and we are fortunate to have you as our Editor :thumbleft:

Well done on sorting out the app, it's great that we are keeping pace with the digital age. Once again doing more than Clubs much bigger than ourselves. :)

Thanks for all the kind words guys. The magazine would (literally) be nothing without all the contributions from club members. I know I can be a pain chasing everyone up for reports, articles and photos but I really do believe the effort’s worth it.

I think we’re at a sweet spot where the magazine is long enough to feel substantial but short enough to remain affordable (in terms of time as well as money) for the club.
