At christmas we discussed the possibility of a joint event. The first one is now in the planning stage in the form of a treasure hunt, orgainsed by myself and another member of Bournemouth Mini Club.

So we would like to formally challenge the Tipec southern region!!!

The treasure hunt will take place on a date TBC (although march/april time has been mooted) in the dorset countryside taking in some of the local A and B roads, including several favourites, and will include a stop for lunch.

The start/finish will take place at The True Lovers knot or The Tap and Railway, West Moors (basically start at one and finish the other).

There will be a trophy for the team/car with the highest score from each club and an overall trophy going to the club with the highest cumilative average score.

As soon as the details are formalised, i will issue the formal challenge,

Hi Gordon (and the rest of tipec!)

My humblest apologies for the delays!

Rest assured it will happen - we now have found a suitable route and will in the next few weeks be going out to drive the route and set the clues.

I didn't realise when i took this on how much work would be involved as well as being responsible for the mini club mag and newsletter. We have 2 national events next month, but i haven't forgotten - i can fully sypathise with Gordon when he says he's trying to organise 101 things!

Once again my humblest apologies - as soon as i have a date set you WILL be the first to know!
