We are in the final stages of booking a social skittles evening at the Three Legged Cross pub, Verwood. The plan is to hold this event on the evening of the 20th, 21st or 22nd November, depending on which night would be the most convenient to members. The most popular option so far is Thursday 22nd, so if you would like to come please contact either myself or Steve Wagg ASAP with your choice of date, as we wish to book the venue by Monday 5th November. The price is a very reasonable £6.50 per head, which includes the hire of the skittle alley and a ‘basket meal’ - scampi, sausage, fishcake, or veggi cake, and chips. We would like as many members to come along as possible, as we think it will be a bit of fun! Cheap and cheerful skittles was a great idea and good value  Really nice to see so many people turn out on a crap night and an event where partners can join in. Very well done guys, I enjoyed lobbing the balls at those difficult to hit lumps of wood  See you all soon. |

Lisa our "Southern Region Skittles Champion" receiving her winners trophy from Steve - well done to all who took part and made it such a terrific evening, it was great to see such a good turnout.

Have spoken to the pub, and they say they will interrogate their CCTV system over the weekend as they have a camera aimed in the direction of the lake, as in the summer there is an issue with drunken fart$ cavorting around in the water! I suggested that it would not be too difficult to spot our club member then
