Our last meet before December is on Tuesday 20th November.
At this meeting, I will be taking numbers for the East Midlands region Christmas dinner. It will be held at The Anchor (normal venue for a club night) on Loughborough Road (A6), Hathern. Dead easy to find and good car parking with exclusive, members only, Porsche car park (well the bit at the top anyway!).
Choices will be :
Starters
1) Duck and Orange Pate, with toast brioche, fig chutney & balsamic reduction
2) Melon and Poached Pear (V), in a mulled wine with mixed fruit
3) Parsnip and Apple Soup (V), finished with cream & croutons
4) Prawn and Egg Salad, finished with a lemon & chive mayonnaise
Main
1) Traditional Roast Turkey (of course!
), with pork & sage stuffing, bacon & sausage roll & potato gaufette
2) Roast Sirloin of Beef, with Yorkshire pudding, chateaux potatoes & red wine sauce
3) Poached Salmon, with asparagus maltase sauce
4) Tart of Mediterranean Vegetables (V), with goat's cheese, rocket & pesto salad
Desserts
1) Christmas Pudding (again, of course!), with brandy sauce
2) Lemon Tart, with vanilla ice cream
3) Trio of Ice Cream, with chantille cream
4) Cheese and Biscuits, with cheese, oh and biscuits
then Tea and Coffee
Prices are for two (any two from three) or three courses and are:
2 courses £15.95
3 courses £18.95
