Hmmm!

No problem

Having spent over 20 years rock climbing and Alpine climbing together with racing the bike on and off since the age of 17 everywhere is safe as far as I am concerned

Therefore, it's a blanket no problem for any of our events

Sorted! :thumbright:

Spoilsport

Why not

Alternatively how about a few laps at Manchester Velodrome

Much safer but the constant and rapid changes in the orientation of the body to the vertical plane does have a tendency to make some folk feel sick until they get use to it. I suppose it's because the bankings are about 47 degress from the vertical; nothing to worry about

I can somewhat see the clipboards point of view...

I was recently only reading about a Gazebo that had suddenly had an identity crisis and felt that it was time to be a kite...(sudden and unexpectred gust of wind on a very unwindy day apparently) however its aerodynamics didn't suit and it landed on the nearest car!! Who's at fault? who's insurance?
and thats the crus of it, H&S is about being able to point the finger...nothing more :(

garyw

Hi

Yes the club carries liability insurance

However, like all insurance if there is "negligence" or failure to "take all reasonable precautions" ; whatever reasonable means, then the insurance will invariably be declared void.

Sound familiar!
