Hi Folks

After being asked for a second day at Curborough I am delighted to announce we have been able to book the circuit again for Tuesday 14th September 2010. Details will be as they were in earlier in the year.

Circuit will open around 9.15am and we will walk the circuit and have a short safety briefing from 9.40am before the track opens at 10am.

10am until 1pm track available for use
1pm - 2pm lunch
2pm - 5pm track available

Only one car on the track at a time. No noise limit.
Arms and legs must be covered and helmets must be worn. All persons on track (including passengers) will be required to complete a disclaimer for the circuit and the Club.

We are strictly limited on numbers so to give the maximum number of people a chance to drive I am splitting the available slots as follows:

5 full day slots (6 hours driving possible) at £55.00

10 half day slots (3 hours driving possible) at £35.00

If more want a full day I will reduce the number of half day slots available as bookings are taken bearing in mind I have to sell all slots to avoid taking a financial hit on the event.

To confirm your place I need an email/PM setting out your preferred slot type followed by a cheque for the appropriate amount payable to "Tipec Central" in the post to me.

Please send me a PM and I will let you have my address to post your cheque.

Receipt of your cheque secures your place.

See you there!

Paul :D

Hello Paul, is this a track-day "sprint" without timing ? I am a "Speed" Clerk of Course and attend at Curborough for Nottingham SCC & Westfield SSC about 4 times per year - sadly I'm only allowed "slow" runs in my 944S2 in my "official" capacity  .
It's a great little course at Curborough, which I enjoy to watch everyone trying their best - I was there on the 20th June when Nick Algar broke the circuit record to 26.69 seconds ...... :bounce:
I can't make the 14th sadly, as Notts have a 2 day "real" Sprint at Thoresby Park on the 18th & 19th September - it takes us 2 days to set-up the venue for the week-end.
Spectators are very welcome though - free entry ! and there is a "classic car" parade on the Sunday which I'm sure members would be able to join-in with - oh and I get to go a bit quicker around the course at Thoresby too :D
I hope it's a successful day for you, and I can join-in another time!
Alan

Hi Alan

You're right that its an informal day with no proper timing gear being used and it's a pity you can't come along and share your experience with us.

Would be good to have you and the 944 along next time

All the best

Paul :D

Hi Folks

One of the chaps booked to attend Curborough next week has had a spot of trouble on the football field over the weekend and ended up with his leg in plaster! :(

As a result I have one place available if anyone would like to take it so that I can give Roger his money back?

Please feel free to ask friends with any car - it need not be a Porsche

Please get in touch quickly as time is short

Thanks

Paul
