Hi Folks

Our last Club night of the year is Monday 14th December and we will be sitting down to dinner to round off the year in our usual style.

I need to confirm numbers dining with the Red Lion about a week before and give them an idea of food orders to aid the chef on the night. Please take a look at the menu below and let me know how many diners/food order before the 7th December.
Cost is £13.95 per head - no deposit required. Alternatively you can order off the bar menu on the night.

Xmas Meal Menu

Starters

Soup of the day

Prawn Cocktail

Chicken Liver Pate

Roasted flat mushrooms (stuffed with cream cheese & chives)

Mains

Roast Turkey

Baked Sole Fillets

8oz Rump Steak

Venison & Pheasant Game Pie

Roasted Sweet potato & chick pea Tagine

Desserts

Chocolate & Cherry Yule Log

Christmas Pudding

Spiced Winter Compote

Cheese Platter

See you there :D

Paul

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that came along last night for Xmas dinner. Decent food I thought and the company was perfect. There were a few apologies for non attendance:

Brian & Pam Rowledge
Greg & Mandy Parton
Paul & Jenny Keeling

The outgoing Central region Member of the year (Central MOTY) Lindsay Brown was there as always and got a special mention of thanks for all his support over the last 12 months. His wife Jackie yet again provided us with a brilliant Xmas cake that I'm sure someone will post a picture of at some point.

We now always announce the Central Member of the Year at our Christmas dinner and for 2009 the award goes to Adrian Langford. Adrian has hardly missed a Central Region event or club night in 2009 and can frequently be found here on the forum as "Stratfordshark" chatting and offering advice, particularly to 928 owners. The family events will always see Jo and the boys in attendance as they were last night and Adrian is a true enthusiast of the marque - often amongst the first to arrive at an event and frequently amongst the last to leave.

The trophy is well deserved and is in safe hands until next year - Well done Pal!

See you all in 2010 :D

Paul
