TIPEC SCOTLAND
Stewart Gordon welcomed everyone along this evening and there was an excellent turnout once again with 15 porkers and 24 bodies at tonight’s meeting.
Firstly a big thank you for all who attended the Crannog run and the Anstruther RNLI day out both were fab days out.
Next Stewart gave a big thank you to James McLaughlan who has put together the autumn weekend away. The dates are confirmed as the 10th,11th and 12th of September and this is a trip to the lakes and will be staying at The Cumbria Grand Hotel and the price is £48 per person and includes dinner bed and breakfast. The meet on the Friday will be at Abington services at approx 1030am for an 11am depart to the lakes and the Friday will consist of a visit to Porsche Kendal for 3pm and on the Saturday James has put together a visit to the Lakeland Motor Museum followed by a boat trip to Ambelside . Sunday will be possibly be a visit to the Steam Railway .The Hotel stay will be for the Friday and Saturday Night and optional for anyone wishing to stay the Sunday night at the same rate. jjlin@blueyonder.co.uk The CCASP DAY OUT on the 8th of August everything is in place for this folk’s and just a few pointers to adhere to on the day:
1. Meet at Halfords car park Just of the Edinburgh City bypass at Straiton for 10 am/ 1030 am depart, you will be set of in small groups to Carberry Towers. Post code for Halfords is EH20 9PW for those with sat nav.
2. Upon arrival you will be helped to park up within the grounds possibly on the nice grass (so no hand brake turns lol!)
3. Any prizes being donated for the afternoon raffle please leave at the registration tent
4. Please approach table one at the registration tent and hand in all raffle ticket money and unused tickets then precede to table two for the drivers pack etc.
5. Refreshments will be available before the Fun Run for those who require a bacon roll and a cup of tea etc.
6. Fun Run will be from 1230 till 1330
7. Raffle draw from 1430 onwards
8. Please remember your Disclosure form although the CCLASP Charity does have a copy at the registration tent.
It has to be said a big thanks to Stewart Gordon and Brian Woods who have put in an enormous amount of time and energy in the build up to this very worthwhile cause and it has not gone unrecognized the amount of work etc that has been done well done Guys!!!!!! Also a big thank you to everyone who is attending the day weather it be the driver’s or those who are helping with the fine tuning on the day. I am confident the day will raise a lot of worthwhile funds for CCLASP in order that the children will have many fun days out now and in time to come. This will be a day for all to enjoy and never a better feeling of a convoy of 50 Porsches would you not agree!! The only thing is I hope it does not piss with rain!!!! Look forward to seeing you all this Sunday for what will be a great day out!!
Next the list went round for Selkirk on the 19th of September and East fortune on the 26th of September. Selkirk there is a £2 admin fee charged by Selkirk and I will be submitting the Selkirk application this Monday coming (9th August) so anyone wishing to go please let me know ASAP. East fortune will be the region’s concourse day on the 26th of September a great day our with monster trucks and lots for the kids and adults including a visit on Concorde etc so please let me know also for that show and have the car polished for the day many trophies up for grabs!!
