TIPEC SCOTLAND
Stewart Gordon welcomed everyone along this evening and there was an excellent turnout once again with 17 porkers and 31 bodies at tonight’s meeting.
A big thanks to everyone who attended recent shows, Moffat and Knockhill were both well attended as well as a very wet Bridge of Allan and a big well done to Colin Cunningham who one best 1980’s award at Knockhill with his ever impeccable and immaculate 944.
Next up this month will be a pub run/ lunch day out on the 18th of July (Sunday) this will be to the Crannog visitors centre and a bite to eat at the Bridge of Lochay Hotel, Killin, Perthshire FY21 8TS. All who wish to go to this day out please contact Stewart Gordon and the meet details will be to follow from Stewart.
Also in July the 25th we have the RNLI Classic Car day out at Anstruther, this folk’s is a day whereby the public will visit all the cars on display and all monies raised on entry by the public will be for the very worthwhile RNLI funds. Many names have been given anyone wishing to go please contact Stewart Gordon and once again meet details to follow from Stewart in due course.
Tonight seen a raffle for 2 tickets for Ayr Races which will be on Saturday the 7th of August 2010. Funds raised tonight from this raffle will all be going to CCLASP and a total of £260 was raised and the lucky winner was Clive Guyton who was contacted via phone with the good news. The day out at Ayr includes accommodation and all VIP hospitality and was very kindly donated by BARR CONSTUCTION LTD a big thanks to Barr for that!! Oh and Clive you will need you Sunday best for this day mate!!!!! Well done and enjoy the day/evening.
The CCASP DAY OUT on the 8th of August is all going to plan and Stewart Gordon himself has spent hours and hours of phone calls( nothing new there I here you say) and his own time in organizing this fund raising event what will be a fantastic day out of that I am sure. Raffle tickets were issued for this event and those drivers’s on the day who did not attend the meeting will be posted raffle tickets in due course by Stewart and the money and left over ticket sales to be returned on the day of the event to the TIPEC control tent at Carberry towers. Those wishing more raffle tickets please contact Stewart Gordon ASAP. There are some fantastic prizes folk’s and all proceeds will be for the CCLASP charity. All driver’s on the day will receive a polo shirt, windscreen banner to commemorate the day and balloons also the kids will receive there baseball caps also.
All who are attending this day if possible we are looking for small raffle prizes to give out on the day something small a bottle of wine, car shampoo something of that nature that would be very much appreciated again all for a great cause. A special thanks to TIPEC head office for there donation of 50 baseball caps for the children on the day this was a very kind gesture and a big thanks to Paul Bird and all at TIPEC HQ that were involved in getting this for the day in question. The meeting point for this day out will be at straiton retail park, just of the Edinburgh city bypass outside the halfords shop post code EH20 9PW time to be confirmed by Stewart, Please remember your disclosure Scotland certificate to have present on the day. We are looking for 2 or 3 volunteers on the day to assist with collecting raffle ticket money and holding the fort at the TIPEC control tent and getting a few balloons on the go etc. If anyone can spare that time then that would be fantastic and a great help please contact Stewart if you can help. Please!!
Next was the mention of the winter weekend run and suggested was the Isle Of Man dates for this are looking like early September, costings etc are being looked into as we speak and will be in touch in due course. Please remember if you are naughty over there you get the BIRCH!!!!!! Lol lol !!!
The bones hill climb in September folk’s is 1 am afraid is cancelled as they require us to attend a minimum of 8 cars for the Saturday and Sunday something we are unable to commit to so it is a no go!! The dates this was on could be now the winter weekend away??
The BBQ on the 1st August will be rearranged and date and venue to follow
Next was a special hello to Craig Wilson a blast from the past!! Craig was the former RO for Scotland prior to Stewart Gordon and we did offer Craig his old position back but declined!! Oh well can’t win them all!! A nice hello Craig and hope to see you again soon.
