Wednesday 5th May 2010 TIPEC Scotland Minutes Firstly an apology from Stewart on behalf of Neil who couldn't make it to the meeting due to work commitments. And now an apology from myself as I took these minutes on his behalf...... A dry night brought 19 Porsches to the meeting & 22 members including a few new faces who were welcomed along. Valery and Bill Simpson from Cclasp were also present again this month & managed to get more disclosure forms completed. If you put your name down for this great worthwhile charity event & have not had your form checked out yet I urge you to get in contact with Stewart Gordon ASAP to get this arranged. The Spring BBQ was the next topic which was held on Sunday the 25th of April at Kinshaldy beach in Fife. The day started wet (very wet) however it started to brighten up just before midday and Stewarts prayers were answered with a bright sunny afternoon. Thanks to Stewart & Neil who must have given up most of their weekend to ensure the 36 members & 6 kids were well catered for. An enjoyable time was had by those who attended & there was plenty of food & the occasional game of "egg & spoon" to keep us all entertained. The 2nd of May took the club to The Museum of Rural Life in East Kilbride. 18 cars were well presented on the day & Neils 924 managed to win the title of the best '80 car of the show. Well done Neil!!! and thanks to all who attended. Again the weather was kind to us. Bright but cold & hopefully a sign of the weather to come for the rest of the show season. Stewart is looking for ideas for raffle prizes for The CCLASP Fun Day Out on the 8th of August 2010. So far we have been gifted £2000 towards the charity with the idea of £1000 cash being given as a donation & the remaining £1000 being used to buy raffle prizes for the event. Other prizes are still being sought although our thanks go to Brian from Brian Miller Motors Edinburgh who is also donating a prize for this event. Another point raised was the possibility of the use of booster seats for the kids in your car. We would hope the parents can provide these but if you have any available or could borrow one for the day please bring them along. Next was the Spring weekend run and Fastlane supercar show at Corbridge in Northumberland.
