TIPEC SCOTLAND MINUTES
Stewart Gordon welcomed all to tonight’s meeting 9 bodies at tonight’s meeting, somewhat down in numbers tonight I would expect that is due to it being minus 6 and very chilli indeed. All porkers tucked up and away from the nasty weather!!!
A warm welcome from Stewart and a happy new year to everyone was first and foremost.
Donations for the children’s charity CHAS was going well with approx. £250 pledged so far and for those still wishing to pledge a donation then please see Stewart, Alan or Myself. It was said that Stewart will be in contact with CHAS very soon to organise a date etc for the presentation from the region’s donation possibly at the March winter mid-month Lunch meeting. (March 14th is the date for this). Once again many thanks to all who have made a donation to this very worthwhile cause.
Next up was the forth coming mid month winter meeting which will be in the Scottish borders on Sunday 17th January (currently under a wee bit of snow) and the meet details for this will be at the Halfords car park at Straiton retail park just of the Edinburgh city bypass. Exact time will be circulated via e-mail by Stewart in due course. However Guy’s and Doll’s the weather will play a bit of a role if the day is to go ahead as the forecast is set to remain cold and snow still to come over the next 10 days or so. I will update the above details as time goes by if a change or weather circumstances dictate otherwise. Please forward names wishing to attend to Stewart ASAP so we can pass on numbers for lunch etc. The venue for the meet and lunch is Peebles Castle Venlaw hotel EH45 8QG.

Next was the suggestion forms and RO/ARO election form that were recently circulated via e-mail and we have a few good suggestions so far for the forthcoming season please keep the idea’s coming remember it is your club folk’s and anyone wishing to put forward there name for one of the RO or ARO position’s then February is the time to put yourself forward and anyone who has not received these forms please contact Stewart.
PCGB has been in contact recently and I think a duel on the go-karting circuit could be well in order in the not so distant future and possibly a knockhill evening together could also be on the cards!! Watch this space for further details!!.
There has been recent talk of a TIPEC type Northern show, to which we have no exact or confirmed details as yet so we will keep you in touch with any developments that come our way.
