TIPEC SCOTLAND MINUTES
Apologies for tonight’s meeting from Stewart Gordon on Holiday and from Brian Wood on family business. Neil Fraser and Alan Neilson took this evening’s meeting. There were 25 bodies and 11 porkers with us tonight.
A warm welcome to John and Pat Oakes this evening. John is the RO for the Yorkshire region and made the long trip up to pay a visit and many thanks for coming along it was a pleasant and unexpected visit. I hope you both enjoyed your visit to Edinburgh. Also this evening a warm welcome to Wullie Chalmers a new member joining this evening and his 944 S2 in grand prix white certainly stood out a stunning car it has to be said, welcome aboard Wullie.
First thing of mention was that Stevie O’Hare has managed to secure 10 spaces for us to go to Lathalmond this folk’s is a last minute show and a nice wee filler as the Chaterherault show in Motherwell was cancelled last month as we all know. There is one or two spaces for this still available and please contact Alan Neilson on

Next up was the Region Beach BBQ, this as you know folks is a thank you from the Club and Stewart, Alan and myself will have the apron’s on and host the day with food and drink for all (there will be a wee pickle wine for the ladies) All you will need to do is bring yourself along and we will do the rest. There will be 5 a side football and some volleyball for those who want to participate and we will arrange this on the day after the BBQ, let’s hope the weather will be good Stewart Gordon assures me he has pre-booked it for that day!!! The meet details as such are simply meet there at the site which is at Kinshaldy Beach in fife for approx midday onwards food approx 1300 hrs. Please remember to bring a £1 coin to enter through the barrier.
From Edinburgh:
Cross the Forth road bridge and continue north on the M90, leaving the motorway at Junction 8. Take the A92 through Cupar toward St. Andrews. Continue on this road until you reach the roundabout at Guardbridge. Take the A919 Leuchars road (left), past the turning for R.A.F. Leuchars and continue straight ahead. Upon Entering Leuchars, there is a small roundabout, with a sign for Kinshaldy Beach pointing to the right.. Simply follow the signs! The Tentsmuir Forest car park is 4 miles or so from here.. .
From Dundee:
Cross the Tay Road Bridge and follow the A92 southwards for about two miles before joining the A92 for Leuchars. On reaching the roundabout in Leuchars, follow the directions given above to the Tentsmuir Forest car park.
Next was a quick mention about the Autumn run 4th,5th and 6th of September to Yorkshire, all deposits should now have been paid for the Hotel direct from yourself. Please contact James Lauchlan on

Next was Selkirk Classic car show 20th September i have a few names already for this show which will host the region’s concourse events for 2009 so a nice attendance required and have the cars looking clean there are various trophies up for grabs this year guys and dolls. There will be a formal and informal concourse plus the new Steph Steveson memorial trophy this year, which will be judged by the public for best car on stand and will be sponsored by Brian Miller Motors Edinburgh. All those with trophy annual’s from last year please return them ASAP to Stewart , Alan or myself in order to have them ready for the day in question.
Next will be the East Fortune Show 27th September a new show this year and it will host a vast array of vehicles from tractors to sports cars and you can go into the hanger where Concorde is kept ( pls pre book in advance to go on the plane) This show is situated of the old A1 next to haddington also there will be the tradional Sunday market for all your bargains to be had.
