WEDNESDAY 1ST JULY 2009
TIPEC SCOTLAND MINUTES

Stewart Gordon welcomed all along to the meeting and first and foremost an apology from himself for being a wee bit late having the 944s2 dropped all it’s water on route to the meeting. A warm welcome to a few old but new faces tonight and also a big welcome to Dave Wilson, Raymond Boyd, Alasdair Lobban all recently having joined TIPEC and Guest Alan Laing. There were 2 outstanding speedsters in the car park tonight that of Raymond Boyd and Alan Laing and the very eye catching 996 turbo of Alasdair Lobban in speed yellow (my favourite colour in a 911). All in all 16 porkers and 23 bodies to the meeting tonight.

Stewart mentioned firstly that the Bridge of Allan Show was this weekend and all names etc were confirmed for the show. The meeting place for this guys and dolls will be Stirling services at approx 0830 for a 0900 depart to the show. Please bring burgers and rolls etc along with you and the catering team will be only to happy to oblige, tea and coffee will be available at a small cost.

Next on the agenda was the Knockhill show which will be the 19th of July and this will be a great day out as always. You as an exhibitor will be able to enjoy the racing and go karts (please pre book the go karts to avoid disappointment) Passengers in the car will have to pay £5 per person to enter the show in an exhibitor car. Once again please bring food along with you and we will cook it for you on the day. We will be meeting at the car park in Dunfermline next to the Fire Station post code KY12 7AN for those with the sat navs. At approx 0830 for a 0900 depart. We always have glorious sunshine for this day so bring the sun tan lotion. All names for this have been taken also.

Sadly next month The Chaterlherault Show is CANCELLED folks due the main sponsor having pulled the plug on this one. It is hoped that next year it will return. This show was due to be held on the 16th of August

On a much brighter note we will be hosting a BBQ AT Kinshaldie Beach in Fife on the 23rd of August and this folks is a freebie to all the members and a big thank you from Stewart, Alan and I for supporting the Region this season and hopefully in the future. The region is close to achieving or has already done so 100+ members for the Scottish Region and this is a great achievement and the regions success is all down to you the members, so thank you and hope you can join us for this day out and Stewart assures me that the sun will be out on that day!!! Names etc are being taken for this day so contact us if you wish to go. Meet details to follow folks.

The autumn run was next the topic of conversation and nothing hard and fast yet but by next months meeting we will have something concrete to go on. We are thinking of up north or the Lake District, either the first weekend in Sept or the first weekend in October. James McLauchlan to sort this one for so big thanks to James for his efforts so far and we will here from James in due course.
